Six More Days of Marriage Leave, Yet the Date Still Has to Be Chosen: China's Taiwan Region and the Old Craft of "Looking at Days"
The local labour affairs department has given notice that marriage leave will go from 8 days to 14, expected to take effect on 1 October. The busiest person in the family, though, is the one who has to "go and look at days" — a longer holiday does not simplify the old procedure.
